SSA Female Youth Flag Football (Grades 8–12)
Get ready for high-energy, all-action football with SSA’s Female Flag Football League — designed for girls in grades 8–12 who want to compete, have fun, and develop their game in a no-contact, fast-paced environment.
LEAGUE FORMAT:
This is a 7v7 passing-only format — no blocking, no contact, and everyone is eligible. The focus is on speed, skill, and teamwork.
UNIFORMS:
All teams must wear matching shirts with player names and numbers on the back. Shirt color must be declared at registration — first-come, first-served. You can order custom team gear through SSA’s Team Store.
LEAGUE BASICS:
Team Fee: $500 per team
Deposit: $50 non-refundable, applied to your balance
Roster: Max 16 players per team
Games: Two 20-minute running halves
Game Night: Friday nights at Clay Park South
Playoffs: Players must participate in at least 5 regular-season games to be eligible
GAME DAY DETAILS:
SSA provides basic flag belts; popper belts are highly recommended
Each game is officiated by 2 referees
Ref fees are $60 per game — each team pays $30 in cash prior to kickoff
RULES & ELIGIBILITY:
All players must be in grades 8–12. Rules follow SSA’s Flag Football Rule Book. Any situations not covered default to NFL Flag Rules.
REGISTRATION INFO:
Teams and individuals are welcome to register. Team spots are first-come, first-served. Individual players will be placed on a team. If a team placement isn’t available for any reason, a full refund will be issued.
