Calling all Average Joe's! If you love basketball but aren't looking for a super competitive scene, this league is perfect for you. The Syracuse Sports Association's Average Joe's 5-on-5 Basketball League is all about having a blast on the court with fellow hoop enthusiasts. It's a laid-back environment where you can showcase your skills, get some exercise, and make memories with your teammates.
League Details:
Skill Level: Recreational - perfect for everyday players of all levels.
Team Size: 5-10 players per team.
Uniforms: Matching team shirts with numbers are required (bring your own or buy from SSA).
Referee Fees: $60 per team, per game, paid to the scorekeeper before tip-off.
Game Format: Two 20-minute halves.
Location: The historic Legacy Gym in East Syracuse.

Get ready for the exhilarating action of Syracuse Sports Association Flag Football! Here's all the exciting details you need to know:
SSA provides flag belts, but teams are highly encouraged to purchase their own "popper" belts for an enhanced gameplay experience.
The team fee is $650, with a $50 non-refundable deposit required upon registration. The deposit will be deducted from the team fee when the balance is due.
To ensure fair play, each game is officiated by three officials and a Statistician provided by SSA. They will be paid $55.00 before the start of each game.
Starting rosters consist of 8 players, including 3 down linemen, with a maximum roster size of 20 players. These 20 players are the only ones allowed to participate during the season. In case of injuries, teams are allowed two IR roster moves, which must be coordinated with the league commissioner.

Show your team spirit with mandatory team shirts that feature numbers on the back. Don't forget to declare your shirt color upon registration, as colors are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Get ready for fast-paced 5v5 flag football on a smaller indoor field built for quick routes, fast decisions, and nonstop action.
This is a recreational division, so expect competitive plays, good energy, and enough running to make Thursday morning a problem.

Let your little slugger shine in our Monday Night COED Kids Kickball League! This league is built for fun, development, and getting kids active with others their age and skill level.
**LEAGUE FORMAT:**
Two divisions:**
8U Division (ages 6–8)
11U Division (ages 9–11)
Coed teams of 10 players (minimum 3 girls in the starting lineup)
Up to 15 players may kick, but only 10 play the field at a time
3 girls must be in both the field and top 10 of the lineup at all times
WHEN & WHERE:
Monday nights at AVERDI Fields at SSA Park next to The Spinning Wheel Restaurant
Season starts June 15th
7 total weeks (6 regular season + 1 week playoffs)
Game times: 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM
Each team plays 6 regular games plus playoffs
Games are 7 innings or 55 minutes (whichever comes first)
COST & INCLUSIONS:
$65 per player
Includes team shirt, referee fees, and prizes for 1st & 2nd place
TEAM SETUP (IMPORTANT):
Parents have two options when registering:
Option 1: Register a Full Team (Coach/Captain Option)
A parent can register as a **team captain (coach)** and create a team
After registering, you’ll receive a link to **invite players to your roster
Share that link with other parents — each player must register individually and join your team. This is the best option if you already have a group of kids who want to play together
Option 2: Register as an Individual (Free Agent)
Sign your child up individually and we will **place them on a team**
Teams will be formed randomly, with an effort to keep things balanced by age and skill. You can request a friend during registration and we’ll try to place them together
